transfer case pulled and leaks from inside

I went to unbolt the transfer case from the tranny and it drop down fine. Then the T-case fell and slide off the shaft spline, and now leaks fluid maybe from inside the T-case.
Can I just put the T-case back on the shaft spline and why is it leaking?
Never leaked before on the outside.

You do know that your transfer case holds fluid as well right? The reason it doesn't leak is because your drive shaft holds it in, so when it slipped out the fluid leaked. Just put some more in and call it a day.

Great, no it doesn't leak elsewhere but only when the t-case was pulled out. Thanks guys.

Is hard to leak from the tranny seal.
Hope, you get lucky and doesn't leak with the T-Case installed.

If it leaked when removing the T-Case, Then, The seal might be in it's last times of life, Unless, you forced the T-Case when you removed it.

If it doesn't leak then you are lucky But, Keep on mind the it will leak in a short of time (BE PREPARED).
