Transfer case help. Asap.

Im puting a new t-case on my buddys 91 tsi awd this week, and i've herd that the drive shaft is ballenced to a certain spline on the t-case, and the t-case is ballenced to a certain spline on the tranny. And it you dont line them back up, It will cause vibration and raddleing. This is all what i've herd. I've done t-cases before. Let me know if you've herd of this. Thanks.

Spell check anyone?? And yes, the transfer cases do have a different spline count depending on the year of the car. I believe some time in 91 is when they switched over to a 23 spline count, as opposed to a 22 spline for the 90's and early-mid 91's.

The driveshaft is balanced on its own. You should have no vibration issues. The transfer case doesn't have enough spinning mass to be an issue.

Ignore whatever else that source tells you.
