I bought my dsm about a year ago , about 6 months in the engine started knocking
its a 98 eclipse GSX Auto . I bought the best rebuild i could find .
Dsm grave yard hooked up this engine for me ,
and while they were in there i bought a whole list of new parts
alt , harmonic balencer, starter, oil pump evo 16g from fp with less then 200 miles on it , new battery , wires , new control arms and tie rods , new lifters ....prob some more im forgetting.
its on its way back 2 me and the trans starts ####in up . When u put it in drive it goes forward feels like its building presure and then kicks.
Whats everyones opinion can i get 2gs out of this car as is with a running motor and a good body?
should i go the extra mile and replace the trans?

Sorry those are all 5 spds. But like the poster up top said, check out IPT. THey are good for auto trannys. I know how you feel about quiting. Im completely new and I got royally screwed on getting my first one about 8 months ago. Well long story short after all the little issues and rust, I quit, but Monday Im buying a fully built motor and tranny, 90 talon
