4 dsm's so far, 3 1/2 had trans problems.....

Well I got the trans back in, it's a JDM selectable on my 92 tsi. The PP got screwed up (couldnt figure out how) and it woudlnt disengage at all. We threw in a new master cylinder and checked the slave, the system is good to go. The shift fork movement is perfect. I ended up throwing a stock clutch in it because the PP destroyed the clutch in the process of whatever it did. I filled it with some 90W gear oil (because im gunna be draining it in about a month when I get my ACT 2600.

Well here's the problem. The trans was said to have rebuilt 1&2 syncros, and it has new seals etc so i have reason to belive it was. When i got the car it would shift PERFECT, no problems. It was filled with syncromesh at the time. Now seince I replaced the clutch and PP with stock clutch and pp I cannot get into reverse, at all. Earlier today it could get in with some effort, but not excessive effort that would bend a fork. Now it wont go in at all. All gears are now "stiff" and require more effort then they should. 2nd gear is now also grinding but it will go in only grinds for a split second before it pops in. 1-5 shift perfect if i short shift into the next gear at low rpm, but the shifting is still stiff. I did notice there was metal powder glistening in the trans fluid when I drained it, but I figured that was due to the new parts getting broken in, etc. The weird part is it shifted fine, then the PP got messed up and the fingers were all crooked so it wasnt disengageing. That's when it stopped shifting perfect, because it wouldnt disengage. I changed the clutch and now no reverse, and 1st and 2nd dont wanna play nice. 1st doesnt grind but it's hard to find. I cant figure this out because the shifter cables wernt messed with, but they could be off.

I'd start by readjusting the cables but the vfaq link is down.

Anyone got some place I can start? Any Ideas?
