I currently have a 95 gs-t fwd and im fairly sure the tranny is shot, so im going to get a new one. I dont want to change shift linkage or anything like that and, I also dont no jack squat about transmitions what would be the best stock replacement and is there any difference as far as 2g trany's go .

i have also tried a search and found nothing as far as 2g's are conserned, if any one can find a topic that can help please post it without all this "do a search its been posted before" crap thank you.

either look for a good used one in the classifieds or have it rebuilt(about $1000). If you want it rebuilt I recommend www.sheptrans.com. A lot of people prefer TRE transmissions too.

Call a salvage yard and have them tell you what all will fit your car without you having to "modify" anything. Then, armed with that knowledge you can check around for a "good" used one. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy a whole wrecked car and use what you need and sell the rest.

Good Luck
