Tranny swap

I have a 1990 Laser FWD Turbo (6bolt) my tranny is junked. What other model transmission will fit my car? More specifically will a N/A Transmission bolt up to my motor? I am not concerned with gear ratio's and so on. I just need to know what will fit.

The N/A transmission will bolt up only if you use the nonturbo flywheel and clutch as well. Otherwise your big turbo flywheel will grind on the bellhousing of the smaller nonturbo transmission. Options:

1) get a nonturbo transmission and a nonturbo flywheel/clutch/scattershield

2) replace your current transmission with another turbo transmission

i have a transmission from a 90 laser, I'm located in Rome, NY. You can come pick it up for 200 bucks. Its a turbo tranny that shifts perfect, ill be pulling it out of the car this week. I bought it as a parts car for 300 bucks because the 6 bolt motor ran perfect and its going in my buddy's 7bolt 1g awd. and its FWD too.

Also, N/T tranny internals aern't as strong as their turbo counterparts.
