Tranny swap

Im looking at a 1gen AWD 5 speed with a bad tranny but its a couple hours away so i was wondering if i bought another tranny how long it would take to swap the tranny in the guys yard. thanks for your responses.

We have no idea how good nor experienced you are. I've read of guys swapping out clutches in two hours, and now many are going to post much less.

How many have you done before?

ive only worked on my rear wheel drive car but ive replaced the clutch in that i was wondering the difficulty of awd tranny swap

I've never personally replaced one.
BUT, In the dudes yard ?
WOW You must be pretty bored dude.
I've replaced RWD & FWD Trannies before, it's not going to be a picnic.

replace the tranny on an awd... working hard w/ someone helping I'd give you 4 hours maybe? Just go early in the morning, plan on spending the day working on it and driving it home that night...
