Tranny swap and bogs in 1st gear please help!!!

I recently did a tranny swap in my 91 awd talon... now when i go to drive the car it will bog down and not want to go forward in 1st gear... i can put it in reverse and it drives perfectly and backs like a normal car... what would be the reason for this? i was thinking maybe i am not getting it in to 1st gear because of cable problems and im still working to see if thats it but what else could it be? if you have any ideas let me know. thanks

What kind of tranny swap did you do? Auto to manual, 5sp for 5spd, transfer case also? Just a wild guess, it could be a bad tranny(broken center diff, bad bearings, etc) or possibly a bad transfer case.
