I have looked and looked, but haven't found the answer to my question. I apologize if this has been asked.

I have a 92 Plymouth Laser RS FWD. The tranny is in need of the synros replaced.... Since this is my daily, I have found a donor tranny that is suppose to be in good order....

However, the new tranny is unknown what year of car it is out of. My question, will any FWD Turbo tranny fit in my turbo FWD Laser? I realize 90's have different shifter brackets, cables, etc. If I obtain those, do I need to worry about anything else besides the spline count (which I can swap input shafts)??

Thanks in advance...again if this has been posted, I apologize, please point me in the right direction.

Any tranny FWD off a 1G will work but with the 90's ya gotta change shifter assembly inside the car which isn't too aweful bad. not possitive on the shifter cables I'm thinking their pretty much the same but then again I dont know for sure. And as far as I know all teh FWD tranny's have the same spline count it's AWD ya have too worry about spline count.

Hope this helps

I didn't realize there is a different in the shifter itself on the 90's. I have a 90 anyways that I am taking to a 93 drivetrain...so I'll have both set ups if I need it.

Thanks for the information.
