so my 30$ tranny finally shit the brick. No matter what I do it won't go into gear,

Started slowly having more and more trouble going into gear, now it refuses to go into at all.

If I start rolling tho, I can sync the revs of tranny\transmission. and get it to pop into gear with no grinding or anything.

so I have a few opportunities

there are a few F5m22 Transmissions at the junkyard right now for cheap, I could buy one, and throw it on, but I was told the turbo 7 bolt flywheel won't fit in the f5m22 Housing which is from 1.8L's and Non turbo 2.0L's. So I can either A: swap out the bell housings off my F5m33 tranny onto a F5m22 Tranny (seen again and again the only difference is the final drive) can any one confirm if that will work? or B: Get a non turbo 7 bolt flywheel but god knows when one of those will turn up LOL, and I'm not about to buy a new or aftermarket one, I cannot afford.

or pay a lot extra money and get another f5m33 tranny.\

I would prefer Option 1A if it will work.

My only concern with option 1 are the axles. I know there are early and late FWD axles, do they change between nonturbos, and turbos as well?

no all the axles are the same except for the AWD's

I am using the stock axles from my 94 FWD N\T Auto Talon with a 90 FWD Turbo Tranny. They work fine.

can anyone confirm the bell housing idea?

he was no help so the question is still up. are the bell housings interchangeable.

I honestly don't know that anyone has ever done this. And from the handling both side by side I'm about 85% positive that they are not interchangeable. I've been wrong before though however.

Also there are different axles. The 90-92 turbo's and 90-94 nt's share the same axles, the 92.5 - 94 fwd turbo's had larger axles.
