Tranny out of line

I have a 90 Eclipse gsx and its very hard to get into reverse. The first gear is in the middle of the box and 4th is like in the bottom right so its very hard to get it into reverse. The tranny works fine its just out of line. How do i get this fixed without spending a lot of money or do i need to go ahead and have it rebuilt. Also my rear differential makes a whining noise when i break. Do i need to get it flushed or do i need a new one. Thanks

check your linkages ... that's not an internal trans problem at all.

Im not mechanically inclined so ill have to take it to someone to get that checked. Thanks for the info. How much will if cost to get it fixed if it is the linkages.
