Its hard to pinpoint it, its just all over the bottom and everywhere else. It didnt look like it was coming from the seals, but I did them anyway, the D/S was like $22! Anyway, its still leaking, it looks like its been apart before because I can see RTV towards the passenger side on the main seam that runs down the case.

Would I be able to maybe pull the tranny and open it up and reseal it? Ive never taken a tranny apart, but done everything else (engines, heads) I just dont know if a leak like this can be remedied. I think Ill put in some colored tranny fluid next time so I can maybe pinpoint the leak better.

Snowbird if either the input or output seal are leaking the fluid will Not be contained

Ok, I really dont think the input is leaking because Im sure Id feel it on my clutch if it had the quantity to find its way out of the tranny and leak all under the bottom of my car.

I was thinking the shifter arm/lever seal would be contained on the inside.

Not really, if it was leaking from the input seal the oil would drip down on the throw-out bearing not the clutch, and it would not take much to make a mess on the bottom of the case.

The shifter select lever shaft seal is on the outside of the case, but you would have to remove the shaft to install the new seal. To do this you would have to disassemble the transmission.

F$ck all that. Ill just pull the cases and try to seal them up with RTV, I dont feel confident enough at this point to fix a leak that might not be coming from there, Ill end up putting it back together wrong knowing my luck.

Thanks for the insite though, I think I can handle tearing it down to the bearing plate and re-sealing it.
