Hello, I posted a thread a few days ago about my boost leak in my #3 injector, I went to advance auto and replaced the injector seal kit for my car, it contained 3 different o-rings. I replaced them and I am STiLL getting the same leak, although it does not sound as bad now , it is diffenetly still there. Any Ideas, im kind of at a loss with what to do next. Thanks for the help in advance. :dsm:

hey there feel your pain i just got mine on the road check and see if your fuel rail is all the way down mabye wrong bolts in rail or spacers not seated check to see if there is any garbage around injector ports

Yeah I have looked at that, my only thought is maybe the place gave me the wrong size o-rings, they fit, but were kinda loose..... any more thought people?

Does the new seals look identical to the original OEM ones? If not, get yourself a set of OEM. Applying a THIN layer of rtv around the seal, no where near the tip of the injector, will also help with sealing.

Two of the three seals looked OEM, the o-ring that was going into the fuel rail was black and a little loose, as well was the one that sit in the engine. They where from a compant called beck/Anley. I'm thinking of ordering a complete set off of MachV just to be sure and do all the injectors while I'm doing this one. Replacing all these seals should eliminate any leak coming from these injectors right?

Should, provided that they are the correct size and installed correctly. I suggest getting an OEM set, fuel is too important to be cheap about. Also make sure you lube the upper o-rings with dielectric grease before you slide them into the fuel rail.

I don't know but why take a chance when you know for sure OEM from a stealership will fit for sure.

Hey. I just had the same exact problem with #3 injector. Bought the insulator from the dealer yesterday, installed today and now I'm actually seeing more boost. It's great.
