So here's the deal. My car has been leaking tranny fluid for awhile. I added some and eventually took it to where I got my clutch put in as well as a new axle. Jake at Top Street told me it was probably the axle seal, and I thought yeah, probably. So I picked up an axle seal and got around to putting it in today. Well, I look up by the axle, and it's completely dry, no sign of fluid anywhere. The problem has to be in the tranny case or something. It's right at the bottom of the tranny, and this is a brand new shep tranny BTW. Anyone else have similar leak problems? What can I do to fix it? Thanks.

Anybody have any ideas? I already drained the old stuff before inspecting the axle, so I had to put in my new fluid. It's leaking from the same exact spot and I cleaned the case of the tranny really good, and it's covered again. I'm thinking it must be a crack in the case? What could I do to stop this?

It's Redline Heavy Shockproof or whatever it's called. Most vendors carry it, I had it put in when I got my clutch put in.

I want blue transmission fluid where you get that

WTF dude? You got nothing to help with his problem, stfu!!

I haven't had this situation but my .02 cents here.
Might be that the case cover bolts are loose? I think there are 10 bolts that hold up the cover where you got the pic showing. Try tightening them(but don't over tighten it now). There is no gasket or anything between the housing and the cover. Either that or too much tranny fluid is causing oil to overflow from the breather on top. Check the level?

Anyhow, did you check the level and was it lower or over the limit?

It's not overfilled. I ended up putting a half a quart in before. I'm thinking there must be some sort of crack in the case. All the bolts are tight.

Did you ever figure anything out about this leak? I also just installed my Shep tranny and it looks like it is leaking about 2 inches above the drain plug.
