will a awd 1g tranny bolt right into my 2g awd talon? found a 1g tranny for a good deal

NO. 3 of the mounts are on the transmission on the 2gs and only 1 is on the transmission on a 1g. It will not work without modification of the north-south bar.

No .There are no bolt holes in the 1g trans for the front or rear 2g mounts.There are no bolt holes on your 2g motor for 1g style mounts.So I'm not sure how modifying the cross member will help.A 2g trans would be easier.

I would stick with the 2G transmission. If you are looking for one you can get one online from tigerjapanese auto parts with around 25-35000 miles on it for $650 shipped and it comes with the transfer case as well. So you could get some money back by selling the transfer case.

You can put the 1g internals in your 2g case though. I have 90 parts in my tranny.
