Tranny grenaded today!! need new one!

1st and fore most the car is a 1990 plymouth laser RS turbo 5 speed, now that we have that out of the way i was on my way to the track today, and made it about 7 miles out of town and boom transaxel is gone!! i popped the hood and theres a softball size hole in the case by the axle, so im gonna need a new case and every thing!! how much is this gonna cost, and is there some were i can get a good used tranny?? if i get a used one ill have it freshened up, but the car is already at the shop and im gonna have to let him know which way im gonna go tomarow!! thanks in advance!!

wow, that sucks, just start looking around junkyards. can't quite say how much its gonna be. were you putting any type of pressure on the car while u were driving? sorry about the crappy news. just start looking

nope i was actualy pulling vacume like 15inches

hmm sorry about the bad news, dsm trannys aren't the strongest. when u race at the track. what do u launch at. that could be a big reason why, what type of clutch are u using, have to take all of that in to consideration when u have a turboed car. sorry once again.
