TPS Problems

I've got a problem when I first start up my car it idles at 2rpms then after a few minutes it will drop to 1rpm then it will jump up and down from 1 and 2 until the car is fully warm at 193.

In ECMLink under TPS and idle switch adjustments I uncheck enable idle switch operation and it will stop jumping up and down and stay at 2rpms.

Do I need a new TPS or does mine just need adjusted?

If you have a multimeter you could figure this out fairly simple. Just pull the tps out and check the ohms if it's to low or high then you need a new one. I don't have my Haynes readily available. I'll post what the min/maximum ohms it should have. Does the tps signal in ecmlink fluctuate up and down without you physically touching the throttle, if so then you need a tps.

on ecmlink site they instruct you on how to set up tps, if that doesn't work then do the test Terrancep7 said to do, but Its probably safe to say if you cant get it working with the video guide from ecmlink its probably broken.

What your describing is idle surge. When you disable the IPS it stops because the ECU no longer thinks the throttle is closed and that it should be regulating the idle speed.

If you have raised the base idle speed from 750 RPM to something higher you may need to also raise the coasting fuel cut value so that the idle doesn't surge.

You may also want to investigate why the fast idle is so high. Is the throttle really closed all the way, is the BISS correctly set, do you have and vacuum leaks, Is the FIAV worn out, etc?

Its doesnt surge when im driving and yes when i live stream it shows the rpms moving up and down. Why does it only do it when the motor is cold?

When my car would idle funny like that I had to check all my vacuum lines, once I found a link I got the rpms to stay steady.
