I have a few chips on the hood and curb damage on the bumper to touch up. they are down to the metal or plastic. I have never touched up a car before. Are there any recommendations for pens, kits, and the like? After watching few videos, they show adding paint then a clear coat on top. The video used an ACDelco 2in1 touch up but not seeing that in my color Saronno Red. Some videos don't recommend clear coat pen. Some of the websites called the color Radiant Red but had the R87 code. Is there an issue getting the color to match? My thinking is that if there is a chip to metal, then I need to cover it with paint, and potentially clear coat before it rusts.
I feel like there should be a good video on this, but haven't see anything here.
