ok now i have been hearing "simple" "easy" "no problem" for converting to 5 lug on a gvr4... but i keep getting misinformed by people..heres the story.

bought a 90 AWD talon donor..took the front hubs off and tried to bolt them on, well they wont line up because they are single caliper compared to my gvr4(factory dual piston caliper.
so i called a "dsm" guru and asked him, and i am guessing i misheard him and thought he said diamante hubs will work as that is what he did. so i went to the junk yard and pulled a set of those off of a diamante.

go to bolt them on....and the axles have a smaller diameter on the gvr4 compared to the diamante.(but they have the same mounting for the caliper brackets.

SO NOW IM REALLY FRUSTRATED ON WHAT THE HELL TO DO! how do i make this thing work? it has been anything but "simple" "easy" "no problem"

...and what does T/E/L mean?

THANKS FOR THE TIME AND INPUT!

anyone have an idear

I converted my 5 lug and was using a 91 talon awd parts car. Everything swapped directly. im still using that single piston caliper from the parts car. You can use your factory dual piston calipers but you gotta get dual piston 5 lug rotors.

I dont get what you mean, what doesnt line up?

T/E/L = Talon/Eclipse/Laser

so you swapped the single piston calipers over from the donor car onto your gvr4?

what wouldnt line up from the 90 talon was the caliper bracket, the bolt holes are farther apart on the dual piston caliper

what wouldnt work with the diamante hubs was the axle are bigger than the galant

and thank you for the TEL question..that was bugging me LOL

Yup.using single pistons instead of the dual. I have some 4 piston calipers waiting to go on tho.

As for the bolt holes not lining up, im not sure since i never tried swapping them.

I think you can change the axles hub but correct me if im wrong. havnt looked at one in ahwile.

Have you found galantvr4.org?

A lot of really nice guys over there and the tech sections of the site are wonderful.
