So I was looking for a topline complete gasket kit, because I've read they're the most complete, economical & relatively durable gasket kits.

Found the part number, CGSMI6.

Did a search. Found a Ebay link (89 92 Mitsubishi Eclipse galant Full Gasket Set 4g63 E | eBay)

Same part number, but doesn't look like these are Topline gaskets.. Anyone have any intel? Would be appreciated.

Thanks fellas!

Honestly, unless its a head gasket, most gaskets are just gaskets and most will work without a problem. Thats the same gasket kit I'm using on my forged internal build.

I would stay away from those ebay gasket kits. Ordered one once, wound up having to replace just about all of them in a matter of a week or so. They became soaked with oil or coolant and began bleeding through.

If it needs a gasket stick with felpro, otherwise just use rtv.

To each their own i guess.. But when i used an ebay kit about a year ago on my gst i had no leaks from the engine what so ever. granted the motor only lasted about 2 months before spinning a bearing, but thats another story.

Also, for anything oil related you don't want to use RTV because you don't want that stuff to break off and go into your oil system.

Considering there is no gasket for the oil pan, you have to use RTV there. Same goes for the thermo housing. RTV can work fine practically anywhere as long you you apply it correctly and sparingly. No need to glob it on.

I used RTV on my 95 GSX and on my Dirt track late model race car and it holds up fine. When i rebuilt my GSX i used a EBAY gasket kit (but got a different Head Gasket), and there all holding fine. So its all your choice

WTF.....yeah there is LOL and you're not supposed to use RTV for that stuff. can you, and will it work if applied correctly? yeah. but you should still use the gaskets instead.

Thanks fellas. I meant to say that I'm going to be using a Mitsu HG anyways. Just wanted to see how everybody felt about these super cheap gasket kits.

Will report back with how it holds up in the future.
