Ok so I have a precision exhaust side on my 60 trim turbo and the inlet is huge compared to the 7cm exhaust gasket. I have a heavily ported 2g manifold ready to go on....the 7cm oem gasket I just purchased (I use nothing but oem gaskets) is smaller than BOTH openings....how will this affect spool and performance? I assume this would hinder flow substantially any input before I just slap it on and try it out?

Not only will it hurt flow, it will encourage premature failure of the gasket due to the exposed portion taking so much abuse from the exhaust gasses. I'd try to find one that's the correct size, it probably won't be a multilayer, though. It shouldn't be too hard to find a solid gasket that is either the right size, or one that could be trimmed fairly easily.

Yeah thats what i was thinking....i just cant bring myself to use one of those stainless gaskets that can be "ported" to match do to me having problems with one in the past. I HATE exhaust leaks of any sort and the car does too. I have a gameplan and will be double checking clearances in the AM tommorrow so we will see if the oe 7cm gasket is actually to small compared to the manifold port job or not....

Yeah, I've heard both good and bad things about the solid gaskets. I picked up a multilayer for my last manifold swap, so I know how you feel about those. Good luck.
