Colorado Spring,
Colorado
First off this is under my brothers dsmtuner screen name because I don't have one so I'm going to start off with my mods:
90 Talon TSI AWD
Evo III 16G
Huge FMIC 24x12x4
2g MAS w/dejon pipe
2.5" turbo back (wish I had 3")
SBR exhaust manifold
Evo III O2 housing
BS removed
255 HP rewired w/FPR
550 cc
Greddy E-manage w/ignition control (wish I had DSM Link!)
Greddy E-01 for boost control
I'm using MMCD to datalog on my palm. This is a third gear pull also.
RPM: Knock: Timing:
3000 0 29
3500 0 27
4000 0 23
4500 0 23
5000 0 22
5250 1 23
5500 0 26
5750 1 24
6000 6 26
6250 7 25
6500 5 25
6750 6 23
7000 6 23
I Know this isn't the best way to show you the log, but hopefully you guys can get some usefull info. To the best of my knowledge i think that the timing is set too high.
I know that knocking is bad and even worse with high timing but how bad is this on my motor?
Do you think I can just turn down the base timing and hopefully the knock goes away?
What should my timing max out at? (on logger)
With 91 octane where should my base timing be to get lots of boost?
Im going to turn down the boost to get rid of the knock but it was only at 17 psi on that log, but with my setup I should be able to run at least 20psi! Also i don't know where my base timing is at.
Thanks,
Josh
