Edmonton,
Well i just got my car about a month ago and have no way of working on it myself at the moment. Anyways, firstly the alternator belt was making a squeel so i got all of the belts replaced. Finally i get it out of the shop, and now it's making a scraping noise comming from the engine...(the mechanic thinks its something to do with the tranny, like a thrown bearing or something?). It doesnt occur all the time, usually when i start to accelerate, but it dissapears when i get into high rpms or sometimes it just doesnt happen at all. I'm really freaking out about the whole crankwalk thing because just recently i've also noticed the pedal seeming sticky when i push it down the full way and then try to start. However it doesnt stick when i take left turns etc. The sound doesnt seem to be effecting performance much, but the car doesnt seem to pull as hard as it used too.

Btw, im boosting at 11psi and all i ahve done to the car is a MBC, K&N filter, 1gbov.

O also some how my gas gauge isnt working anymore, the light is always on even if i put like 25 bucks in and the needles doesnt move :(

Im wishing i bought an mr2

The "Thrown bearing" he was refering to is the throw out bearing and thats what I was thinking was the problem. You should get an aftermarket clutch and put it in along wiht a NEW OEM throw out bearing, no sence in pulling the tranny for a clutch later on if you have to now also.

As for the pedal sticking and feeling mushey you can do 3 things to help this and they are fairly priced

1.) Get rid of the accumulator in the clutch line ( replace with hard line ( $6 ) or SS line from RRE ( $20 ).

2.) Remove the restrictor from the slave cylinder ( free ).

3.) bleed the system really good.

I would recommend getting the TOB fixed. If you search around a bit there will be alot of threads wiht some good stuff in them for you.

Your boositng 11 PSI because the 2G BOV cant hold anything past that. If you upgrade to a 1G or equivelant BOV then you can safely boost to 16psi......but get the TOB taken care of. GoodLuck

Edit just saw you have a 1G...if you want more boost just up the MBC to no higher than 16 PSI. GL
