tokico blue package. 1.5 inch drop. good idea on my 2g?

hey guys
my shocks have been pissing off fluid for almost a year now, and for a while now there's been tapping in the front/right when i go over bumps. i think it's my shock. so i ordered the tokico blue package which claims a 1.5" drop. i've been looking at my car though, and that just seems really really low..

there is a lip (esp in the rear) that looks like it may cut my tires over bumps. i was hoping for some opinions on this.

there is exactly 2" between the top of my tire (215/55/16) and the wheel well where this lip is. i've included pics (camera phone - just to get the point across) to help show what i am speaking about.

will the setup perhaps be stiff enough that i shouldn't have to worry?

any opinions on this set up while i'm at it?

P.S. do the NT's come a lot higher stock? my friend has an RS and the wheel gap is rediculous.
maybe my car is just low already from old tired suspension?

oh, by the way. i was thinking that my car probably isn't lowered by old tired suspension because my tires wear perfectly evenly.

on that same note, will i need a camber kit with these? i wanted coil overs so as to not drop the car hardly at all, but my shocks need replacing and i didn't want to put the money into coilovers at the moment

how often do stock springs wear out? maybe i should just use the tokico shocks with the stock springs? (or are the stockers too tall for those?)

how about a couple of easy ones:

are tokico blues okay with stock shocks if i decide to go that way? how would it be compared to stock handeling? i've been searching and found out that the kyb's are the stock replacement.

any input at all regarding a 1.5" drop. if anyone has this kit on their car, please let me know what you think of them.

i have tokico blue shocks and springs on my gst, they are nice, maybe about a half inch of wheel gap and it rides awsome

yeah, i put mine on yesterday.
very happy. 2 finger gap all around. rides like stock (dunno why everyone says blue is such a rough ride *shrug*

i like them a lot so far. rides almost identical to stock, not harsh at all.

almost 2 finger gap between each wheel... maybe 1.5 fingers.. .. *shrug*.

i know the pics don't show the wheel gap for beans though. if it matters a lot, i can try to take some in the sunlight for you. just let me know. (believe me, i know it's hard to find pics of this kit )

edit: oh, also... just so you guys know.. i have a couple of 12" kicker l7's in my hatch.. they weight a fair amount.. i have no idea if it would look any different without them *shrug*
