To much for stock injectors?

I'm hitting fuel cut in 3rd gear around 5500 rpm. I've checked for boost leak's there's a leak at the intake manifold because someone reused the gasket. Its not a bad leak. My mods are up to date in my profile, are my mods to much for my stock injector's. I don't think its the boost leak cause when I do the boost leak test the system hold's pressure good with the oil cap off. When my car was stock I had two majpr!! leaks and I never hit fuel cut.

Are they original? Have they been cleaned/recondition/flowtested? Are they replacements from another vehicle?

Consider that after 15 years, your injectors probably aren't running anywhere near 100% their fresh off the factory floor capability.

Just putting that in there; it could be a million other reasons.

A boost leak, even small at that high of rpm, is enough metered air escaping the engine to cause it.

Your issue should be stated, " I have zero boost leaks, and I'm hitting fuel cut at 5500 rpms."

Think about people that hit fuel cut with a throttle body shaft seal leak. Let alone a leak at the manifold.

Its just seems odd... When I first got my car I had a throttle body gasket leaking so bad that when my air compressior was set at 12 pounds the intake would only hold 3 pounds. I didn't hit fuel cut then.

No, your mod list isn't enough for you to be hitting fuel cut. When was the last time you actually checked for a boost leak? Maybe you have a new one.

I checked just the other day it will hold 12 of pressure for atleast 12 seconds when I take the air compressor off I also have the oil fill cap off. I do have a inverted cam angle sensor on this car. I have the firing order swapped for it to run. I don't know if that's causing anything.

Could a small leak like I have really cause fuel cut?? I think not but you know more then ne

Just like a tire, a perfectly completed sealed system should hold the pressure indefinitely unless it's affected by an outside source, i.e. a leak. With that note being said, engines are not perfectly sealed, when one piston is at the compression stroke, one will be on the opposing stroke cycle (hence 4 stroke) so air will leak past that point, but that's why you can do compression tests and leak down tests to pin point a leak where its not supposed to be etc. etc. *The BOV acts as an intentional leak just a reminder, hence as to why its recirc'd and the air is accounted for by the PCM and many other reasons* I am trying to figure out why you are creating an intentional possible leak through the oil cap though, I mean for compression testing and leak down for internal engines yes to pinpoint the noise/cause of the leak. Do you have DSMlink? Referring to the CAS/wire swap... If anything it would cause a misfire and you would know trust me, 2 of your cylinders would be on the opposing stroke cycle (int, comp, pwr, exh) and the ignition firing would not match and it being a 4 cylinder motor, 2 cylinders are half of the cylinders.

To answer your other question, 450cc inj at 100% DC (80% is where I draw the line) is 240+ HP, assuming its factory pressure settings. Now, that being said, yes, flow test, power balance tests, etc etc would be needed to assure your injectors are working optimally and will perform when tasked to. I posted a link for you and others to tinker with if you haven't already. There are direct cause and effects with fuel tuning, so leave it to the pros you don't want to blow something up or worse. (Josh at FIC is great and knowledgeable)

And triple check your boostleak...

You know its a T25 right.

Fuel supply has nothing to do with fuel cut. Maf sees too much air and thinks it can't handle the current airflow to fuel flow ratio- so it stops injecting fuel to slow the engine, in turn less airflow, and repeat.

Your running 12 psi, and yet you boost leak tested to 12 psi.:hmm:

Next time test at 20.;)
