Tire size questions--- too many?

I am throwing this in here in the hopes we can get a sticky going for everyone to help on what tire and rim sizes fit. In the 4x4 world it is called a What hits and What fits guide. If set up correctly we can avoid the unneccesary " What size tires can I put on my car?" questions. If we get input from everyone 1g and 2g members. Setup would consist of
1- What size tire is on your car
2- What rim size and offset is on your car
3- Is your suspension stock or lowered and if yes how much
4- Did you roll or flare your fenders
5- What is your driving style ie- DD, autox and so on
And so on as other factors are put in.Obviously we want to avoid the responses of " I am going to put this size tire on my car and tell you how it fits" We need direct fit answers from members who already have the tire and wheel on the car. Any one think this is a good idea or stupid? Mods let me know. I will gladly try my best to set this up from info gathered.

Like it says at the bottom... just go with a 245/40/17 on a 17x8+40 (or +38 Evo rims). It's all anyone needs to know

I read that thread but some people want to know what options they have out there, other than "Use this size tire and rim and that is it" I dont like that option for myself and I am sure others don't either. Everyone has their own preferences. Maybe someone wants a little more offset or a little less. Maybe a different size rim and tire alltogether.

This is why you provide the information asked for at the top of said thread, just like what you were trying to do. Threads should be read in their entirety, it's all there.

I understand what you are saying Locke but at the bottom of that thread it was said "Let's say 245/70/17's and call it a day" And then the thread was abandoned. I was thinking of doing like an excel spread sheet with all the info on it so you could scan through and see what would fit and would need mods to fit.
