Not my decision, Came with the car. If you want to give me some 17s that would be lovely. Im on stock suspension BTW

Well, if you refuse to change the wheels, then you have two choices: live with short sidewalls or run an overall diameter that's too big. Choosing a tire with a soggy sidewall will also help, but what's left of your car's ability to turn will go bye-bye.

I dont like how short the sidewall is and it is extremely stiff, i was thinking i should just go 225/45 or 50... would this work? also are these good "grippy" tires?

You need to look to see how much clearance you have around the tire. Yes you could mount a tire with a taller sidewall on your rim but that it will make your tire taller (overall larger diameter) and that may push it up into the spindle. It will also cause your speedometer to be that much more off if it isn’t already (I know a minor issue). As for your choice of tire I suggest doing a Google search for customer reviews on it and see what others have said. I did a lot of reading on the Falken ZRis' before I picked up a set. Not the most grippiest tire on the planet but for now with the wear they had compared to the amount of grip they provide I am happy, at least until I get the engine tuned out the way I want then I might have an issue. :D

They have both listed as stock. A 205 55 16 and a 215 55 16. :hmm: Time to do some research and see which models came with what. Doesn't really matter with my car because it will never have stock size on it ever again. :p

Either tire would only cause maybe 1mph off on the speedo either way.
