Just looking to see if a 225/55R15 tire will fit on a 15x6" wheel. Secondly would that size fit fit on my 91 GSX without rubbing anything. Just looking for the best tire size for the wheels I'm buying. If you guys have any recommendations I'd be happy to hear them. Thanks.

I've seen 225's on stock 6" wide wheels. The sidewalls bulge out a lot and it looks pretty silly. But to answer your question of would it fit on the wheel, yes. Will it rub? little if any. Is it the best tire size for that wheel? No.

Why are you buying 15x6's anyway?

X2 Why there is other rims that weigh about the same or less.

Getting a pretty good deal, they're a lot lighter than my stock GSX's.

I've been considering 215/60R15's aswell, I can get them cheaper and have a lot more options. Just would like some other opinions.

Well I don't know what wheels you're talking about but make sure they clear your brakes.

Personally, 215 is the widest I would use, but I'd probably go 205.
