Sup fellas
I am finally to getting ready to attempt my valve seals replacement and I am just wondering if there are any recommendations to have this go smooth. I read up on the different methods with the compressor and rope but I am just wanting to know if there are any new tips or tricks to avoid messing with my timing. I just received my Jay racing timing tool kit today but I want to keep this job down to a day if possible. It usually doesn't work out that way. I always find some other issue along the way, so i would like to make this a first LOL. This will be my first time attempting this on this car as well as a timing job on this car if need be. Does a day to get it done sound reasonable? Any help or words of wisdom is much appreciated.

I did mine without the compressed air or rope trick, I just had to do it 2 cylinders at a time. Rotate the engine till the pistons are up on 2 cyl, then you can pull those retainers and valve springs and the valve will fall onto the piston, but you will have plenty of valve sticking up still. Do not get ahead of yourself and forget to rotate the engine after those 2 are done and start on the others, or you will drop a valve into the cylinder and well, you'll be pulling the head. Ask me how I know haha. Only takes about 3 hours to do the job. I used the Extreme PSI tensioner rod tool and the Euro Export valve spring tool and it works amazingly! http://www.euroexportinc.com/mitsubishi-4g63-valve-spring-compressor

Just take it nice and slow and you'll be alright!!

Good luck!

Thanks man. Unfortunately my car is sitting at an insurance company's inspection facility right now. Tire flew off on the highway Monday and and left a mess. They are already telling me they will probably total it out so if I get to buy it back I will most likely be pulling the motor. Thanks for the help though.
