Well i got a quote for $150 all the way around on my old 3G. Not to shabby.

grab a phone book, look in the Yellow Pages under Automotive Window tinting, or just window tinting, and call. most shops will be familiar with that car, and be able to quote you over the phone. but yes, expect anything from $125-$250.

while your on the phone with shops, ask them how long the tinter has been tinting, what kinds of film they use, and if they have any cars down there at the shop you can check out to see the quality and different tint shades.

OK i have been doing window tint for 3 years now
the most simple way is with a heat gun not your mom's hair drier
a $20 one from home depot
and clean and wet the out side of glass (watch at witch way the tint go's) put the tint on the out side and tack it by pressing in the center and work your way out with a auto body spreader with a paper towel then heat a littel bit and use your hand and work out the fingers on tint
you may want to do a 2 Peace
if so over lap on the out side and when you go on the in side cut both over heater grid
if you do it right you will not see the seam

I hope this helps i see it as if you can do it way pay to have it done ;)

I have been tinting for over 9 years and its not as simple as you put it suncad... The only problem with your approach is that he will go through alot of tint before he gets his windows even close to right....

as said by devilish, You can get in the phone book and check out your local guys..

But as my tip from before was, get on tintdude.com and ask who is in your area. These guys are some of the best tinters in the world... You want to make sure you have somebody reputable and always want a lifetime guarantee....

i am sorry for any miss leading info
i learned from a school for car audio
i bout a box of tint off ebay and had a camaro back glass (one of the hardes) and just kept on trying and went that way ;)
i just gave some info for any one that may want to try
but in mi. i would get about $150 for the 3 Windows

no doubt, I would definitely recommend doin anything yourself, but tinting is definitely a skill.... I just hate to see him get some tint from "the Zone" and end up using about 10 rolls... LOL

couldn't agree more, i've been doing it for 3 yrs now, and wet shrinking is the hardest for a beginner IMO. dryer sheets, powder, or even dry are easier for a newbie to tinting. but if you don't want to waste a ton of time, and 5 trips to AutoZone, and finding a sprayer, and a good squeege, and an Olfa knife... go get it done somewhere. also, i relized you only wanted the back three done, not the whole car. i'd still expect to pay $100-$175. i'd get probably $165 for those 3 windows, or about $225-$250 for the whole car. that's the going rate around here.

good luck with your search. yellow pages are your friend, as is the local stereo shops. just ask around and see who they reccommend.
