I'm currently in the process of rebuilding my 96 gsx, looking at a estimated low 500hp range. Was wondering what are your recommendations or setups for your timing(gears, tensioner, etc) balance shafts are deleted. Thanks in advance

gears,
If you're going with aftermarket cams, I'd go with adjustable cam gears so that you can degree your cams.( when selecting a cam gear look for one with the advance/retard marks clearly marked, and one where the bolts to lock it down can be securely fastened as you don't want those loosening up on you.)
tensioner,
I'd go OEM.

Ok thanks. I have adjustable hks cams gears already, I've seen aftermarket tensioner to help avoid issues at higher revs
