Just trouble shooting my car and its down those two issues, timing or clogged fuel injector. The symptoms are low loping idle at about 700-900rpm. When you are driving and coming to a stop the car wants to die. I've been told it was just a clogged fuel injector and that i could use gum out and cure the problem. I seafoamed the car and still had the same response from it. So i was thinking it could be timing. I just want to know how to tell whether its timing or injector. If im not clear or not detailed enough please let me know.

pull your timing cover and line the marks up if they check out ok then check for vacum leak if thats not it then run a scan on your ecu it might be an o2 senser do that and then get back to me

it might be a fuel filter but it dont sound like a injector if it is skiping when you drive then you might have a injector problem or ign.

WHen it drives its perfectly fine. Its just at idle that it misses.
