well they start clicking like crazy..doesnt that mean ecu death? and they smell burnt. I talked the guy I have been getting the ecu's from and he told me he test 2 of the ecu;s I sent back to him in cars and they worked. He is sending my last one to some guy to open up and take a look at. He said in the mean time he would send me another ecu and that he was gonna have a dsm guy call me that knows everything about these cars.

Well I got my new computer today. Should I do a leakdown test to rule out a blown headgasket, or burnt valve? any other suggestions? I'm thinking of tearing everything back down to my tranny and double checking all the wiring through out there that I cant see with the battery and intercooler pipes in the way.

well since I cant warm the motor up, I figured compression test would be worthless.

Well I had guy that works at a local shop take a look at my car. within a couple minutes he found something i overlooked.....the wire loom around my front o2 sensor had melted and all 4 wires in it were touching.:notgood: I had been having a problem for a while of throwing a code for fuel trim bank 1 malfunction. Didnt think anything of it cause I had just replaced it not to long ago.

Hes gonna order me a new computer through his shop and when it gets here were gonna put it in and see if that was the problem cause he didnt see anything else out of the ordinary. If that computer doesnt burn up were gonna put my new one and send that one back. If that one be buys burns up guess were back where we started.

Im gonna kick my self in head if this was the problem the entire time.

Well I put the new computer in, The wires to the computer are no longer getting hot. The car drives just fine but its still missing really bad once it starts to see boost. Ive checked for boost leaks, found a small one at the pcv and fixed it. changed wires, I changed the plugs last time I put a new computer in. I replaced my o2 sensor with a new bosch one, dealer didnt have any in mitsu ones in stock.

My check engine light is on im throwing a code for o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. Is that my rear o2? And im throwing one for evap system.

My car lives again!!!

I was looking at my wiring diagrams the guy printed off for me. Looking at what all the o2 sensor goes to. I noticed it went to my maf,cam sensor, and a few other tihngs. So I take my maf off, look at it shake it around...put it back in. Go to drive it, runs the same doesnt like boost, and now it wouldnt idle. So i was like oh ya...every damn time I take off my intake to my turbo I always forget to plug in my maf. Pluged it it and ran the same. except it would idle now

So I buy a new maf from orielys cause no junk yards have one, and I dont know any one around here with a dsm. any way it came in today put it. and it runs great now. Im so happy :D

I feel so stupid that it was my o2 sensor that had caused all this, but oh well she runs again! just in time for the track....she must of just wanted to rest for the winter.

Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate it a whole bunch.
