Will the thickness of my headgasket affect my allign marks. I have Cometic MLS .051 and keep getting 1/2 off? I am using gates belt, AEM adjustable cam gears and the cometic MLS HG.. My problem is all this stuff is brand new so I don't know if its the HG thickness or the placement of the timing mark since on my oem cam gear it is in the valley between the teeth and my aem marks are on the tooth.. I have timed 420a motor with oem cam gears like 4 times in the past but 5th is a charm. Also just incase info helps I am running 1mm ss o/s valves, crower springs and crower stg 3s. Head is reman from topline.. Holes are 12 oclock, 1/2 btdc, 21 ft plds.. Any input..
