Timing cover gasket????

I have a 6bolt motor and Ill be puting the lower timing cover.

Can i use RV gasket (or whatever its called) or must I buy "THE GASKET" that goes around the cover?

I would use the gasket. The rtv would work but would make future removal of the plastic cover an interesting task as it would also act as a glue.

Wiping the metal surface with WD-40 or oil will keep RTV sealant from adhering to it.
