2G Timing belt tensioner pulley doesnt have any holes?

I couldn't tell you why but when choosing timing components, and I'm sure most others would agree, I only go with OEM.

I agree on OEM only for timing parts. You do realize there are 2 different pulleys and even from factory only one pulley has the holes in it.

The link is showing the back of the pulley, I don't think the holes go all the way through!

The one in the link, if you read the review, is for the balance shaft belt.

>>What I wanted and ordered was a timing belt pulley. What I got was a balance belt pulley. Big difference. They should research what they have before selling it. Now I've wasted money and time. >>

Are you certain that isn't the case with yours as well? The thicknesses will be very different, the balance shaft pulley is much thinner than the timing belt pulley. The pulley you have, is the hole centered? If so, you have the idler pulley and still need the tensioner pulley. If not, that is very strange and I hope, like the rest of these gentlemen, that you choose to go OEM.

the pulley was done on there and yes the bolt is at a angle

well the story goes like this i purchased a car that was a repo it had the adjustable cam gears new greddy belt nice turbo and manifold so the previous owner removed all of that before the repo well i got in contact with him and bought alot of the stuff back off of him and found out that he just rebuilt it 300 miles ago had new water pump balance shaft belt tensioners etc etc but i cant get ahold of him at the moment to find out why it was like that or how he timed it

damn i bet thats it so its probably possible the prior owner put it on there backwards do you reckon it would still bolt on if it was backwards ill try and check on that sat and let you guys know thanks for the help

cant believe i didnt even think of that

i dont know how this thing's timing didnt slip on him and wrecked the topend
