timing belt/head/block help

well recently my timingbelt went out on me so im almost certain that my valves are bent. I know i have to replace my head but my question is is there going to be any problems if i just replace my head with a fully rebuilt one. I mean do i also need to replace anything in my block? I found a fully rebuilt head for $300+$200(timing belt kit)+$90 ARP head bolts+$90 metal head gasket. This all is about $700 just for the head and timing belt fix. Or should i just get a used motor for approx. $1400 so i wont have to worry about the block having problems? Which one would be better?

how many miles are on the motor?? it should just be your head, if you buy a JDM motor i'd suggest doing a HG swap anyway, mine went out after a month i had it, finally got it running last week now i have a blown turbo. Well, when you get your head off, check the pistons. If they hit hard enough, sometimes they will be gouged. If this is the case, you are looking at some new pistons as well.
