Ok guys with all the wiring and things I've been doing lately I decided it would be best if I finally broke down and bought a good tech manual for my car... I was wondering what the best one is, and where I can get it

I have alll the good ones (Factory Service Manual, 420A Overhaul, tranny overhaul, electrical systems, etc.) on my computer at home. I'll send them to you later today.

If you insist on a paper copy, the factory service manual would probably be the best to have. Haynes and Chilton (the other top two choices) are nice, but there have been a few descrepancies within their pages.

Ok awesome, thanks... Where could I get a factory service manual from?

edit... NM didnt notice you said you had a factory service manual on your pc

Computers are great and all, but sometimes when working on a car, you get pretty dirty and don't want to get the CPU all messy. I highly recommend atleast just getting a Chiltons guide. If you have a good used books store near by you could probably pick one up for $10-$15. New they run around $30 and you could get them at Autozone or any other parts store usually.:thumb:

With that said, hey Paul, care to send me the electronic manuals? [email protected]

Thanks pal:)

Actually, nevermind... I remotely hosted all of the important files here:

420A Overhaul:
http://www.savefile.com/files/1928042

Automatic Tranny Overhaul:
http://www.savefile.com/files/6898135

Manual Tranny Overhaul:

Technical Information Manual:
http://www.savefile.com/files/8303298

Electrical Manual:

Josh, I would download them right away if I were you. I think the server allows unlimited downloads, but I could be wrong...

EDIT: I found them all hosted here too: http://www.symtechlabs.com/downloads/dl.php

Btw the chilton manual for eclipses 91-97 use picture of the 2.0 dohc from the avenger, almost no pics of the mits dohc..... P.O.S manual!

You know you could just print out all the pages and put them in a 3 ring binder and label them. Then you'd have it with you at the shop without having to dirty up your computer.

Thats what I did with the greddy stuff I have.
