Time for new lifters?

Ok guys I have a 1990 tsi awd that i'm showing some tlc, the car has been getting excessively louder at start up after it has been sitting a while. I'm sure the head still has the original lifters. My question is would it be ok to throw the lifters (revised) Topline Revised Lash Adjusters Lifters Eclipse DSM 4g63 | eBay without eating a lobe off my cam?

Those will work. The only thing revised about them is the size of the hole in the lifter.

i know alot of guys like to use 3g lifters because they have the great machine work work of the 1g's and 2g's togethor. as for the others ?
