I'm planning on getting a Tilton Engineering 40-524 Oil Cooler Pump for my car but I have a question about the forward facing oil filter housing (FF-OFH).
How exactly does the oil bypass valve in the filter housing work?
I will be using a remote filter adapter and the Tilton will be mounted between the FF-OFH and the remote filter so that it can pull the oil from the pan, push it through the filter, and into the engine and turbo. The Tilton will be connected to the dome light via a relay and it will pre-charge the oil system of the motor and turbo. The idea being that they say a lot of your engine wear is in the first 30 seconds when you have oil starved locations.
My concern is, will the oil bypass valve in the FF-OFH block the Tilton from pulling any oil when the engine is cold.
