2G TiAL waste gate

So I been in the process of redoing the whole turbo set up on my car changing stuff up , etc. Now my waste gate gas 2 ports 1 had my regular set up where my DNA boost controller went in line to my turbo that' the one on the side and the port on the top has always been open now I'm wondering should I keep my set up how it is and just keep the top open or should I do something else ?

Another side note while my new boot is otw (the orange rubber inside the waste gate) is there any way I can do a temp fix for a hole in it ?
