Im going to run some seafoam through my motor tonight & was going to use the P port on the throttlebody, till I discovered my car doesn't use the P port. I was wondering if anyone could tell me where the E & A ports go to? (think those are the letters they use on a 2g) Do they go directly into your intake through the throttlebody or somewhere else? I know I could use the line hooked up to the bov but I wanted the seafoam to enter as close to the start of the intake system as possible to do the best job of cleaning the intake mani out.

Daren,
2g TB's have the E/A/P ports but not the A1 like the 1g's do. I hate to tell you, but I don't know which port offers direct passage into the IM. If I were you I would just run the seafoam through the nipple on the IM. If cleaning the carbon off of your throttle body is your concern, running seafoam through the ports on the TB will not clean it out anyway (gotta clean that buttefly plate!). Well either way, goodluck :thumb:

Thanks for the replys, doesn't look like those vac drawings show the port routes once in the TB. I might just end up going though the bov line, since I need to do an oil change tonight as I have run the 100 miles with the seafoam in the crankcase. I'm not worried about cleaning the TB as I just cleaned it all up when I was replacing the shaft seals. Thats when I discovered how durty the intake mani was & figured injecting the seafoam through the TB would clean it the best. The P port would have worked great if they had them on the 98's.
