How can i check this to make sure its working I cant find anything on this in the vfaq

If it's not working you will get a CEL when you close the throttle. Normally it starts after the engine is hot unless it's really gone or the wire is broken. If that's not good enough you can also try to test it with an Ohm meter to see if it passes current when closed.

You use a ohm meter and check that the connector is grounded when the throttle is closed and goes open when you start to open the throttle.

A datalogger will usually report the status of the IPS too.
