Any reason you want to get a ported 2g vs. switching to a 1g?

well i am trying to find out if its cheaper to port my 2g or find a 1g and rebuild that. have heard alot of guys like the 1g na tb but the seals leak.

I've rebuilt a few 1g N/T's so far and the seals haven't leaked.

how much more does the 1g na flow than 1g turbo or 2g turbo.

Both the 1g's have a 60mm bore and 2g is 52mm.

whats a good price to pay for a used 1g tb. i already have my 2g jdm intake ported so i can just bolt it on and go.

well alot of local guys by me are selling the 1g tb for 100-150 and most of them are not rebuilt. i know there are 2 different kinds what year 1g do i need one from. if i remember correct i need a 91-94 1g.

Yep, you're correct. You want a '91-'94.

i think found a post about a mustang tb and q45 i think it was are they any bigger than the 1g. also are they plug and play or do u have to hack them up to make them work on a dsm.

What have you used for the seals? or did you get them it milled out 1mm and use turbo seals?

I did not mill out the recesses. I just used normal turbo seals and they have worked fine. They stick out the top a tiny bit, but fit fine.
