throttle acting odd

Im pretty new to the dsm world ive got a 96 eagle talon 420a and it drives good until when i start slowing down to come to a stop the throttle revs way high and almost like it sticks for a minute then it finally comes back to normal. what would be causing this

I have a 420A, First (if tranny and motor other wise are acting fine) check your throttle cable located above/around your intake. Mine one day pulled out causing my throttle to be stuck open and would slowly come down as the plastic "squished" back in to the fitting. Just an idea Im a newbie too.

Like real Said check throttle cable it just might need to be adjusted

Just did some searching it could also be bad throttle position sensor or your throttle cable could b dirty and causing it to stick so check ## cable to c if its dirty
