thinking about redoing the head

im thinking about redoing the head in my car. just wondering how long this will take and how much it would cost. also, what will i need to do this? any part recommendations? would i see any significant power gains? im going to be going to a 16g or bigger turbo next summer and im trying to do everything i can to get the car ready for that now...

Well, it all depends on who is doing the work that will determine how fast the job gets done. Shouldnt take more than a day or two though. While you have the head off, consider a set of ARP headstuds and headbolts to replace the stockers. As for headgasket, look into either an OEM Mitsu 4 layer metal headgasket, or Cometic. If you have some serious money laying around, consider a set of HK$ cams (264's, 272's, or mixed match), a porting job, maybe a new set of valve, etc....
