theres oil around the right side of my engine/bay

This is just a quick question, would it hurt to use a power washer on the right side of the engine/bay , so i can figure out if/were the oil is coming form?
Of course i will let the engine run while i do it.

it shouldn't hurt at all. spray some degreaser in there and get the whole engine bay while you're at it. just be sure to keep it away from various parts such as plugs on the harness, alternator, etc.

Okay, thanks hope I don't have a bad leak being its on the crank wall side, I am hoping its just from the dip stick popping out, since I haven't got around to crimping it so it doesn't any more.

Try to get a new pcv valve, that should fix your dipstick from popping out. It did mine!! Unless you have some massive blowby from the rings.

You just need to add one of these check valves to your pcv system to stop your dipstick from popping out.

my car is bone stock so there is no telling what exactly is wrong with it but if crimping it doesn't work i will do that. What brand did you get or does that even matter? (i am not familiar with pcv valves.)

I picked mine up from the local parts store and mine was completly stock doing the same thing.
Installed a new one and no more popping out!

Cut the pcv hose between the pcv valve and the intake manifold. Install it so the flow is pcv valve --> intake. That way, the pcv valve never sees any boost.

hmm, thanks for the link, but i looked through it and it looks to me someone must have modified it. when i get home i will take a pic and post it but, i have a tiny filter that is on the left side of my valve cover were there is i am assuming a hose should be?

That's okay to have a breather on that side. It's not the perfect way to do it, but it is acceptable. The main thing is to get that check valve from usplastics and put upstream of the oem pcv valve so that boost is always checked off there and not allowed to enter the crankcase where it can create problems such as blowing out the dipstick.
