oil leak around rear of engine / oil pan

Ive got an oil leak that is pushing a decent amount of oil. It at first seemed to come from the oil pan so I popped it off and redid it and it was still leaking. I do know that there is the almuinum piece the crank/seal sits in. Could this be leaking and not the rear main seal itself? There is no oil on the backside of the flywheel but there is some within the bell housing on the transmission. Im getting pretty stumped on this.

can you see it leak when the engine is running, if not buy 2 cans of brake cleaner. Use one can to completly clean the bottom half and front of the engine. Go for a quick drive around the block doing a hard acceleration and hard braking to splash the oil around then take a look if you can see where its coming from. If you still cant find the leak clean it all off again with the other can and pack everywhere with paper towels, take another quick ride. Then you should be able to find it.

I am haviing the same confusing oil leak? DSMunknown suggested I try bars leak rear main repair, it couldn't hurt to try so, I'm putting it in tomorrow and seeing what happenings

it requires taking your transmission off, then clutch and flywheel, then just removing the rear main seal housing which is separate from the engine block itself, make sure to lube the seal as to not tear up the lips of the seal when you start it initially
