 The dreaded day has come and my ride is DOA. Yes, I'm a newbie therfore I have become cross eye'd reading all the content and trying to figure out what comes next or what direction to go..... I see that there is a ton of experience in here.....long and short of it can some one give a me a quick low down on the "best bang for the buck"

The 4g63 walked and now I'm looking for a streetable replacement/build solution without breaking the bank

HELP!

i agree, it's pretty damn pointless to rebuild that 7 motor motor. Depending on your expectations with the car, find a 6-bolt motor and if needed refresh that sucker up. I just spun a rod and balance shaft bearing in my 7-bolt about 3 months ago and decided to do a 6-bolt motor, its definately the way to go. My swap is actually in the process as we speak LOL. But good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Thats what I though I'd hear.......thanks for the response guy's!

Aside from the extensive post's regarding the swap "what to do's" is this basically a bolt and go less the electrical work?

The swap is fairly simple. And yes, if you do re-build then just go with a 1g. And guess what??? You won't break the bank.
