Hey there dsmtuners,
I have a 95 gs 420a, 156k miles, I was changing my spark plugs today, and figured while i'm at it, I checked my oil, and smelt it, to see if it smelled burned, But I smelled gas in the oil, I changed my oil 500 miles ago, I had not noticed until today, But I have been leaking oil, I looked and there was about 8 drops of oil, I park in the garage, and I never clean under my car, or look, so that could have accumulated over weeks or months, After 500 city miles, i went from the full mark to halfway to empty (about half a quart) of oil loss, My car stalls out randomly, pushing in the clutch sometimes stalls it, but its not limited to that, It smells like its burning oil when its running, it usually starts right up after a stall, I went to the dealership, and they said there was not a recall for my car, for the gas tank. I am pretty sure the previous owner abused it, and I floor it from time to time, not too often though. I am planning to do a rebuild on the engine this December, but im hoping to get the car to last me till then, I drive about 10 city miles a day, and maybe 60 over the weekend. Any ideas on what this could be? Any ideas would help, I am taking an auto service class right now, So checking for things wont be a problem, I just don't know what to check for, not too much of a mechanic...Yet!

means you car is running too rich and you say city driving which means sitting and idling alot at stop lights n such well this happened to a honda of mine where the oil smelt like gas it was cause of a intake manifold gasket leak so i would look there and also pull you plugs and look at them see if they are really black they ###### are and also take a look at your front o2 sensor

i would go with this... you may have excessive blow by. perform a compression test/ cylinder leakdown test in class to see how healthy your engine is.

Yes.. this is the start on the right track!
I would first do a Compression test see what that looks like, and work your way up! I wouldn't just assume its the rings or valve seats before testing the most common things! It would be cheaper than just going straight into rebuilding the motor and that not be the issue! ;)
Start simple first!

You can still drive it to work and back all you want, you'll just have to add a little oil once in a while. My guess would be rings or possibly the head gasket. Has that been replaced ever?

I didnt get a chance to get it into the shop today, but I will do a compression test when I get home, if it isnt reading the right pressure, that means I have a leak or air escaping somewhere, right? And ill try to check those valve and ring seals, I will hopefully get back to you guys tonight

Compression test came out good on all four
